Alocasia × mortfontanensis 'Polly' (African Mask Plant)

Alocasia × mortfontanensis (syn. Alocasia × amazonica), the African Mask Plant or Amazonian Elephant Ear, is an artificial hybrid. Its parents are Alocasia longiloba (from Southeast Asia) and Alocasia sanderiana, the Kris Plant (from the Philippines). This rhizomatous perennial gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit as a house plant. H 0.5-1.5m.

The selection 'Polly' is a striking and beautiful house plant with glossy green leaves with creamy-white markings running down the narrow leaves.
