'Pounamu' produces good crops of medium-sized fruit with smooth green skin. The pulp is sweet and juicy with a tangy flavour. A small to medium tree that has an upright spreading growth habit. Covers well in flowers. Not overly vigorous, but a strong grower. 'Pounamu' is an early season variety (April - May), ready when fruit changes colour and drops when touched.
