Griselinia littoralis, commonly known as kapuka, New Zealand broadleaf or pāpāuma, is a fast-growing small to medium-sized evergreen tree that is native to New Zealand has thick leathery leaves and dense bushy habit. Makes a great screen, shelter or background plant. Very hardy to most soils and climatic conditions. Prune to maintain vigour and shape. Evergreen.
Griselinia littoralis 'Variegata' is grown for the beautiful, oval-shaped, mid-green leaves which finish with an uneven, cream margin. A nice, upright shrub which, when grown as a specimen, can also be clipped into a hedge, topiary or standard. Positioned in full sun to part-shade it will tolerate strong winds and coastal conditions. Plant in well-drained soil. H 2.5m x W 2.5m.
