Jasminum mesnyi (Japanese Jasmine)

Jasminum mesnyi, the Primrose Jasmine or Japanese Jasmine, is native to Vietnam and southern China (Guizhou, Sichuan, Yunnan). Open growing evergreen shrub producing long slender arching stems that will climb like a vine if supported. Without support it grows in a fountain-like mound . It has glossy dark green leaves and slightly fragrant yellow flowers. Flowers are borne in winter and early spring and occasionally into the summer.
