Kalmia latifolia 'Pristine' (Mountain Laurel)

Kalmia latifolia, the Mountain Laurel, Calico Bush, or Spoonwood, is a species of flowering plant in the heath family Ericaceae, that is native to the eastern United States. Its range stretches from southern Maine south to northern Florida, and west to Indiana and Louisiana.

The variety 'Pristine' is a compact, beautiful dark glossy green-leafed shrub that is covered with clusters of star shaped pure white buds giving the impression of being covered in sugar icing opening to clear white flowers in December. Excellent for pots. Grow in full or partial sun. Requires acidic well-drained soils. Hardy evergreen. H 1-1.5m x W 0.5-1m
