Lagerstroemia subcostata var. fauriei (Taiwan Crepe Myrtle)

Lagerstroemia subcostata, the Taiwan crepe myrtle, is a deciduous tree native to Japan, the Ryukyu Islands, Taiwan, and southern China, and introduced to the Philippines. Lagerstroemia subcostata var. fauriei (Koehne) is native to Yakushima, Tanegashima, Ryukyus. Great as a small specimen tree or large shrub in mixed plantings. An ideal tree for small gardens, as it has an upright, non-spreading habit. H 4m x W 3m.
