Leucospermum 'Estrelita' (Pincushion Protea)

An erect shrub bearing orange/yellow pincushion flowers on long stems ideal for picking. Best suited to well-drained soils in an open sunny position. Prune after flowering to enhance flowering the following year. During the first summer provide one deep watering per week during periods of prolonged drought. H 2m.

GROWING TIPS 

Leucospermum requires a well-drained soil in full or partial sun young. Fertilise during the prime growing seasons, Spring and early Autumn for the best results. Almost all natives dislike media with high phosphorus (P) levels. Use a fertiliser made especially for them with P level of 3% or less.

If planting in a pot make sure that the container chosen is large enough for the plant. Never pot a plant into a container which is too small. Make sure to use a premium quality Australian Native Potting Mix (like Daltons Low P Mix) as this has the correct balance of wetting agents and nutrients required for having a healthy plant.
