Macadamia x tetraphylla 'Beaumont'

The 6-8m tall tree has perfumed pink flowers. Nuts hang in clusters (racemes). Kernel sits inside a woody round shell. Average sized nuts. Heavy and consistant cropper. Pollination - Is by honey bees. Weather will affect pollination if too windy and wet during flowering resulting in a low nut set. Ideal pollinator for Beaumont. Harvest - Takes 4-5 years to first fruit and 7-8 months for the nuts to mature. Harvest from April to May when nuts are full size.
