Magnolia figo (Banana Magnolia, Port Wine Magnolia)

Magnolia figo (commonly known as the banana magnolia, banana shrub or port wine magnolia) is a small evergreen tree native to China. It grows to 3–4 m tall. The white to purple (port wine) coloured flowers are extremely fragrant with a scent reminiscent of bananas. These plants are great for borders, wind breakers and fragrant gardens.
