Metrosideros kermadecensis 'Variegata' (Kermadec Pōhutukawa)

Metrosideros kermadecensis, with common names Kermadec pōhutukawa and New Zealand Christmas bush is an evergreen tree of the myrtle family which is endemic to the volcanic Kermadec Islands about 900km north-east of New Zealand.

This selection is an attractive evergreen shrub with colourful scarlet flowers. hardy, grows well in any exposed situation. withstands salt laden winds and is adaptable to any soil type. Frost tender when young. H 3m x W 2.5m.
