Phylica plumosa (Flannel Flower)

A small evergreen shrub native to South Africa with attractive, downy foliage. In late winter, long- lasting, feathery, creamy-yellow flowers are carried at the tip of the stems. Highly valued for cut flower, both fresh and dried. Useful for sunny garden beds and large containers, producing long sprays of creamy white feathery flowers during late winter. Prefers full sun and fertile light soils. Drought tolerant. Prefers a well drained site and is not tolerant of wet feet. Prune well after flowering. H 1-1.5m W 1-1.2m.
