Podranea ricasoliana (Pink Trumpet Vine)

Podranea ricasoliana, also called the Pink Trumpet Vine or Port St John Creeper, is native to South Africa, Malawi, Mozambique and Zambia. Vigorous evergreen, hairless vine. Leaflets 2-7 cm long, long-oval and serrated, larger (5-9 cm long) on strong vegetative shoots. Flowers trumpet shaped to 8 cm, pink with rose red veins especially inside the corolla tube.

Note: Although Port St Johns Creeper is not a legally declared pest plant in NZ, it may still be invasive in some situations. Consider lower-risk alternatives for your garden, such as native plants.
