Protea neriifolia 'Green Ice' (Oleander-leaved Sugarbush)

Protea neriifolia 'Green Ice' is a large spreading shrub often getting wider than its height. It produces several pale green/yellow flowers with a blackish beard. Flowering is predominantly during Winter, however flowers can be seen sporadically throughout the year. An adaptable Protea that will grow in most well-drained acidic soils in an open sunny situation. Prune back current years growth after flowering by half to two thirds. Ensure newly planted plants have one deep watering per week during periods of prolonged drought. Ideal plant for the larger garden and suitable for coastal gardens. The flowers are useful for cut flower.  H 2.5m x W 3m.
