Annona cherimola 'Bays' (Cherimoya)

The Cherimoya variety 'Bays' is a fast-growing evergreen tree characterized by large glossy leaves, fragrant flowers and large, creamy-white fruit. Its fruit is bursting with flavor and is rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. This variety of cherimoya is cold-hardy and can tolerate temperatures as low as -10°C. It produces an abundance of fruit in warm, frost-free climates and requires minimal maintenance.

The green winged fragrant flowers are borne in spring followed by moderate green round fruit with a smooth skin. Creamy white juicy flesh which is soft, delicate and has the taste and consistency of custard, sweet with good lemony flavour. Enclosed in the flesh are large black seeds, they come away easily. The fruit has a delightful fruity fragrance. Flesh is smooth with small amount of grittyness near the skin.
