Beschorneria yuccoides (Mexican Lily)

Beschorneria yuccoides is a stemless plant with 20-35 linear, lanceolate, leathery leaves that are widened at their base. They are gray-green to green, about 40–60cm long and 3.3–3.5cm across. The leaf margins are finely denticulate. The inflorescence reaches a height of 1–1.8m, with a maximum of 3.2m. The stem and the bract are red. The flowers are 4-5cm long. The fruits are elongated to almost spherical, 3–4cm long and 1.5–2.5cm across.
