Ficus carica 'Brown Turkey' (Fig)

Fig 'Brown Turkey' is a deciduous large shrub or a small tree, and is one of the most popular figs grown in New Zealand with two fruit harvests each year. The tree grows to a mature size of 3-8m feet tall and 3-6m wide with a broad crown of large deeply lobed rough leaves. The fruits are relatively large with a very sweet, yellowish white pulp. The skin of the fruits becomes darker brown/purple with maturity.
