Water plants regularly to keep the soil evenly moist to avoid a feast or famine approach. The frequency you need to water the plant will depend upon the room temperature. Newly purchased or recently re-potted plants should not be fed with fertiliser until they are a couple of months old as it can burn the roots because they are not well established.
