Macadamia 'Renown'

This is a popular variety that crops heavily and consistently over a long period. The texture and flavour of the nuts are excellent and are of a good size. Weather will affect pollination if too windy and wet during flowering resulting in a low nut set. This variety is an ideal pollinator for other varieties. The tree takes 4-5 years to first fruit and 7-8 months for the nuts to mature. This tree is an open spreading tree and at maturity grows to about 6-8m tall and 6m across.
