Magnolia stellata 'Jane Platt'

Magnolia stellata 'Jane Platt'. Also called 'Rosea Jane Platt'. Bright, clear rose-pink starry blooms, freely produced in a showy mass covering the twiggy bush in early spring. The tepal colour gradually fades to white. Good bushy habit. Colour of the tepals is lighter than 'Rosea', 20-30 tepals. One of the best pink stellata. Deciduous. Height: 2-3m.

Culture: Magnolias are true aristocrats among
flowering shrubs and trees. Choose site carefully as they do not like disturbance once planted. Rich, moist, free-draining and slightly acid soil will give best results. Water deeply and freely until established.
