Nicotiana tabacum (Tobacco)

Nicotiana tabacum, or Tobacco, is an annually grown herbaceous plant. N. tabacum is the most commonly grown species in the genus, as the plant's leaves are commercially harvested to be processed into tobacco for human use. The plant is native to tropical and subtropical America, also appearing as a weed. The plant is commonly grown throughout the world, and is often found in cultivation, often as an ornamental garden plant. It grows to between 1-2m.

All parts of the plant are toxic to humans and pets.
