Size

Heavy flowering. Medium sized pear shaped black fruit with a shiny skin. Yellow creamy flesh of creamy rich flavour. The skin turns black prior to harvest. Larger than Hass fruit.

Habit - Beautiful bushy compact evergreen tree. Avocado trees form a thick canopy giving dense shade with it's large, dark green, leathery leaves.

Size - 3m x 3m.

Pollination - Light yellow/green flowers appear in abundance on the end of the branches in spring. 'B' Type flowering where the female part opens in the afternoon on the first day for 2 to 3 hours then closes. The male part opens the morning of the second day. Hence cross pollination of two varieties helps in the warmer climates. In the cooler climates opening and closing of the flower tends to overlap therefore making them more self-fertile. Bees and flies are the pollinators. Cross pollination with Hass and Reed will improve fruit set.

Harvest - Late winter / spring harvest from July to December.
