Pinus radiata, the Monterey Pine, Insignis Pine or Radiata Pine, is a species of pine native to the Central Coast of California and Mexico. It is an evergreen conifer in the family Pinaceae. P. radiata is a versatile, fast-growing, medium-density softwood, suitable for a wide range of uses.
P. radiata is the most common species of Christmas tree in Australia and New Zealand.
This pine is forestry grade, selected form of Pinus radiata which is suited for a live Christmas tree. This is a two year old tree that has been trimmed to keep bushy and will certainly improve shape if you wanted to pot this up for the following Christmas. Just keep fed and watered and trim to your desired shape. Keep watered and in bright light but not direct sun light.
