Podalyria calyptrata 'Compact Gem White' (Water Blossom Pea, Keurtjie)

Podalyria calyptrata, commonly known as keurtjie or water blossom pea, is a small, resilient, fast-growing tree of the Fabaceae (legume or pea) family. It has velvety silver leaves, bears masses of bright-pink, sweetly scented flowers, and is indigenous to the Western Cape of South Africa.

'Compact Gem White's is a selection noted for it's very compact and bushy growth habit and white flowers. The foliage is green-grey and covered sparsely with silky white hairs.
