Protea cynaroides 'Madiba' (King Protea)

Protea cynaroides 'Madiba' is a King Protea that produces a beautiful display of stunning red-pink long-stemmed flowers during winter and spring. It is the intricate pattern created by the outer bracts and the inner stamens that combine to create one of nature's gems. This is a low maintenance plant and is equally at home in display pots or garden beds. The flowers are a treasure in the garden, on the patio and in flower arrangements. Requires a well-drained soil. If you have clay soils, use mounds to plant into to facilitate drainage. Plant in a sunny open position. These plants are moderately frost, coast and drought-tolerant. H 1.5m x W 1m.
